Friday Morning

AlphaNinja - Stocks up slightly. Chinese stocks are up on strong industrial output news (I take communist state-owned economic reports with a grain of salt), and US shares are following their lead. FedEx shares are up 5% after the company raised guidance on cost cuts and better international results.

Despite antagonistic congressional rhetoric, insurance companies stand to make a pretty penny.

Hmmm. Not sure about the timing, but small investors are coming back into the stock market.
