Intra-day action (MOT, SKIL, CML, BGC)

Among Gainers

--  Motorola(MOT) announced that it will split the company into two publicly traded companies.

--  Skillsoft (SKIL) agreed to a buyout offer.

Among losers:

--  Compellent Technologies (CML) missed earnings expectations.  A larger mix of new customers lead to lower margins.(upfront costs)

--  General Cable (BGC) sees weak earnings next quarter, due to weak capacity utilization and pricing pressure.
