One sector growing through the recession

The federal government!

Well this president was quite serious when he said that part of his job was to make government "cool again."  He's no liar, as his budget lays out.

As the taxpayer suffers job losses or wage decreases, debt is taken out on his/her future income stream to hire more government employees, i.e. taxpayer employees.  Amazing.

The department of Agriculture has 20,000 MORE employees than Intel.

From the WSJ:

The real jobs boom is in the federal agencies, not the military—to 1.428 million in 2010, from 1.204 million in 2008 and 1.09 million in 2001. So, for instance, the Agriculture Department will jump to 101,000 in 2010 from 94,000 in 2008, Justice will surge to 119,000 from 106,000, and Treasury to 114,000 from 107,000.
