May 7 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc has lowered a 40-foot-tall steel structure almost to the seafloor in the Gulf of Mexico, as it begins an effort to capture oil leaking from a well.
Mark Salt, a BP spokesman, said today that robots were preparing the seabed for installation of the structure.
